Impounded Vehicles can only be released to the registered owner. (The actual, exact name on file with the DMV) If you wish to allow someone else to pick up your vehicle, they will need a copy of your license and and the "Vehicle Release Authorization Form" filled out by you and either emailed to info@bitettos.com or brought to the office at the time of release. The form can be downloaded below.
If you have purchased a vehicle within the last 15 days, you may present a fully executed pink slip that shows you are the new owner of the vehicle. Handwritten Bills of Sale are not acceptable. If it has been over 15 days, you must first begin the transfer process with the DMV or a local Registration Service. They will provide you with paperwork that will allow you to have the vehicle released.
Vehicles can be released from 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday and closed on all major holidays. Vehicles can be released after hours by emergency appointment for an extra fee. You must call (855) TOW-THAT and select "Vehicle Releases" from the menu prompts.
Valid identification is required at the time of release. Expired documents or documents without an expiration date are not accepted. Only official government issued identification can be accepted such as the following:
United States Driver's Licenses
U.S. Passport or U.S. Passport Card
Form I-551, Permanent Resident Card or Alien Registration Receipt Card
Form I-766, Employment Authorization Document Card
If traveling from another country, a valid driver's license accompanying a valid passport or travel visa is acceptable.
